EZ 2 Go Green

My kids begged me to see the teenage sleuth and I was glad to require the reading of at least one of her books before the adventure.  I hadn't seen any reviews or trailors of the movie and I wondered how they would approach it.  Would they bring us back in time to Nancy's world?  Would the entire movie be a spoof or would it have some sustance, and could it hold our attention?

I normally leave a movie with at least three things to say about what characters should have been cut or how I could have edited the story in a much more effecient way and kept my attention.  This movie is the exception!  It stayed true to the original character of Nancy Drew and yet was filled with the right blend of comedy, action, and well a little easily solved mystery.  My family enjoyed this film, and I appreciaciated the nostolgic character fast forwarded into today's time in a movie that really truly worked.

The story's built in messages of "be yourself," and "other's first" was a great bonus.

Will Nancy Drew survive in the cell-phone and ipod infested city of L.A.? Check out the movie and let me know if you and your family weren't equally delighted.
